Fitzrovia is a district in central London, near London's West End,which spans the boundaries of the City of Westminster (in the west) and the London Borough of Camden (to the east). It has its roots in the Manor of Tottenham Court, and was urbanised during the 18th century, with the informal term Fitzrovia only applied in late 1930s.

It is characterised by its mixed-use of residential, business, retail, education and healthcare, with no single activity dominating. The historically bohemian area was once home to such writers as Virginia Woolf, George Bernard Shaw and Arthur Rimbaud.
