Has your website seen a decline in traffic or rankings in Google?
On the 21st April 2015, Google introduced a new search algorithm designed to place mobile friendly sites higher than other sites.
This change shows the importance of having a mobile friendly 'responsive' website in 2016. The new algorithm emphasizes a lot on sites turning responsive. Google has officially made it clear that Responsive Design is preferred design for Google. Your search ranking when accessed on a mobile will be penalised if your website is not mobile friendly. With mobile and tablet "browses" now accounting for over half of internet accesses, this change by Google is not surprising.
So, what is responsive web design?
Responsive web design ensures your website will work at its best on all devices including mobile phones and tablets.
A fully responsive website will adapt and work on every type of device, regardless of the size or model so whether you are viewing your website on a PC or an iphone the website will fit perfectly to the screen size ensuring best possible viewing.
How do I find out if my website is responsive?
Google have provided a simple to use tool which allows you to test your website and confirm whether your page is mobile friendy.
